Description: | | this is a magical town with a noble atmosphere, a centuries old history, and buildings dating back a thousand years such as the Pieve (parish church). It also has a network of over two hundred marvellous caves, whose origins are shrouded in mystery. Santarcangelo is the capital of Romagnola dialect poetry and it has a lively cultural tradition. It hosts a theatre festival and numerous fairs, such as the Fair of San Michele in September and the Fair of San Martino in November, which attract crowds of people. Worth visiting are the beautiful churches, piazza Ganganelli, the quarters of the old town, the Malatesta Fortress, the caves, and the Ethnographic Museum of the Uses and Customs of the People of Romagna.
